US and India - what next?
'What does it take for India and US to have a stronger relationship than UK and US?' Pramod Haque, VC and partner at NVP, asked at a TiE talk today. He was quoting Congressman Jerry Lewis.
Pramod Haque is lobbying heavily for a very special relationship between India and US for the development of next generation technologies like nanotech, energy, homeland security etc.
His argument is that US doesn't have enough talent to produce the next big thing. US universities do a great job with research and VCs can fund marketing but hard core development has to be funded by US and Indian governments and done with Indian manpower.
