When to produce Osama bin Laden? Whom could he help?
Let's say Gen. Musharraf and the US military have a decent idea about where bin Laden is now. When should he be "caught" and whom can this help? If he's caught now, George Bush will get a bump and will probably be able to retire in peace. If they catch him closer to the election, whoever the Republican candidate is will get a bump. My guess is that they will announce the "capture" and try to bury the Democratic candidate as the election gets closer.

Just one good desi hacker
Someone analyzed the code submissions for Linux 2.6.2 release and came up with some lists of top submitters. Here they are. The only Indian name on these lists is Amit Kale's. Millions of Indian computer programmers, but just one Linux contributor of note.

Cricket World Cup
A lot of people in India are cynical about the Cricket World Cup. The feeling is that most matches are fixed and that rampant 'professionalism' is ruining the game. But then you hear someone like Jacob Oram willing to sacrifice his finger to play for the World Cup, and you have to wonder... Maybe not all the matches are fixed. Maybe the ones with New Zealand in it are clean....
