Learn French or German
Anshu's cousin asked us today if he should take a French class or German class in college. My answer:
I have a visitor today in my office who is a Polish
guy working for a German company (SAP) in France. I asked him your
question. He gave me the following answers:
1. French is more used by business people in Europe.
2. German is more useful in the technology area and it is a more 'dynamic'
language.
3. German people usually know English.
4. French people are very uncomfortable with English.
5. He recommended learning German.
My conclusion: If you want to go into a technical field, learn German. If
you want to go into the business field, learn French.
